We left at 10:30 am (GA Time). The road was not near as bad as what we went through yesterday. Between Williams CA and Clear Lake Oaks CA (hwy 20) there was one way traffic for probably about two miles. More traffic was coming from the west than going west... the direction of our travel. We had to sit for a few minutes and then it was slow going for a bit.

We stopped at Wal-Mart in Yuba City CA. We got another battery... just in case that is what the problem might be with the slide out. We also found some cheaper bread :-) We bought some bananas.... 55 cents a pound instead of the 70 cents or more we have been seeing. In the next shopping complex there was a Home Depot so we went in and Frank got some wire to wire the battery.

We stopped at Clear Lake Oaks for gas at $4.99 a gallon. We then seemed to drive forever around Clear Lake. It is a big lake... it was a bit windy and there were white caps and waves hitting the shore.

We are in a campground called Sleepy Hollow just north of a town called Willit. We arrived at about 4 pm (GA Time). We plan on staying two nights. No one has come to collect the campground fees. The information on the door says they need advance notice for more than one night. I don't think there will be a problem staying two nights... but if so we can move on.

The campground is on the side of the mountain. This one dips down and then uphill. It is mostly shaded and is suppose to have 18 sites here, but we haven't come up with that number yet. There are some Mallard Ducks, Green Herons and some woodpeckers. Maybe tomorrow we can get some good pictures of them.

We finished the fried chicken off today and had some steamed veggies. I want something that resembles a biscuit. Tomorrow I'll cook us up something real good :-D

We traveled 174 miles today.
