We left at10:30 am (GA Time... 8:30 am MT). We arrived at the KOA Campground in Salt Lake City Utah at 2 pm (GA Time... 12 pm MT)
We purchased tickets for a tour tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully we won't die from the heat... can't make us happy... hate the cold and hate the dry heat. We went out to a Wal-Mart this afternoon and when we got back around 5:30 pm (MT) it was 107 degrees in the shade... it is about 80 degrees in the trailer. The ac just doesn't seem to work as well in the dry heat. We needed the basics of milk, cereal and bread. We also needed to get a tire that seemed to have a slow leak checked out. When the mechanic put the tire in the water tub, Frank saw the small bubbles before the mechanic did. The hole in the tire was at the tread close to the sidewall. Wal-mart could not fix it and did not have a tire like it so Frank had them put the spare on and put it where the spare was. It is a very slow leak so if we cannot find another one Frank will keep an eye on the air pressure so it might still be used in an emergency. Milk is cheaper here at $2.75 a gallon for 2%. We also stopped by the pumps at Wal-Mart and got gas at $4.68 a gallon.
Back home and we took a shower... the ac doesn't work in the bathhouse. The cool water felt nice though. The rest of the evening will be spent staying cool.
We traveled 142 miles today.
