We left Tupelo Mississippi around 9 am (GA Time... 8 am CT)


We traveled through the rolling hills of Alabama for most of the day. Traffic was pretty heavy most of the way. Around Birmingham Alabama the traffic was horrible... made worse by all the red lights.... still nothing like Denver :-D



We got gas in Hamilton Alabama at $4.73 a gallon and Westover Alabama at $4.69 a gallon.


We arrived at Desoto Cavern Campground, Childersburg Alabama at about 12:30 pm (GA Time... 11:30 am CT).


We had our leftover hamburger steakettes in gravy, baked potato and mixed veggies for dinner. The tv station said the high today was 101 degrees. It felt much hotter. It was cooler in the trailer than outside, but still hot enough to sweat in the trailer.


After dinner we watched more of the Adventures of Rin-Tin-Tin and Rex (a black arabian horse). I'm sure in its day it was a great series.


We then went over and took a look at the Desoto Caverns. It cost us $15.99 a piece to take a look... it was worth about $5 at the very most. It was cooler in there.


We came back and finished watching the Rin-Tin-Tin series. Then we took our showers... Frank organized his paperwork and I copied pictures to a dvd. Frank is watching snow on the tv... most of the picture is snow :-)


We traveled 181 miles today.
